About QBA

These postings come from within my mind, which goes to all sorts of places for all kinds of reasons. I am often a passive traveler on these mental journeys. As yet there is no overall theme to this blog. Stay tuned.

I lived in India from November 1964 – August 1967 (from just after Hard Day’s Night to just after Sgt. Pepper) and from August 1972-April 1974 (Watergate). I experienced more intense culture shock on returning to the U.S. than I did in going to India. Living there for nearly five years changed my life and my outlook.

I have been an early morning swimmer in Aquatic Park since 1994, and this photo of the Golden Gate Bridge glowing in the morning light taken by Joe Boone, no doubt out rowing at the time, is particularly beautiful.GG Bridge glowing 2-3-16
